i knew you would love these...looking forward to your entry, Tara

Ooooh, do you know were that picture was taken? I used to have picnics in almond orchards like that under a ceiling of blossoms and bees that went on for miles, filling the air with their deep hum. Some orchards had white blossoms, some had pink, and I don't know what the difference was. Takes me back!
-
-
I had the picture on my pc and can't remember where I got it. I love almond orchards too - almond blossoms are so very beautiful!

It's okay, Bams... I see you've edited already - thanks!

Once again, what's so difficult about this contest? I mean, here's a cinquain I thought of just of the top of my head:
I guess
linen should be
washed; at dawn her melons,
like orchards of Eve's fruits of sin,
were tasted.
You know, because I am a sensitive religious type of guy, right?
-
-
"religious, sensitive type of guy".... hmmmmm, Monte... then I know dawn, white linen and orchard will definately inspire him. But I see a cinquain there already..
i'll get back to you with my cinquain. It's a bit early in the morning here for me still
-
-
LOL -- will your cinquain also be about melons and their relation to Eve's sin? Because, you know me, I really like cinquains about women sinning. Any poem, actually, about women sinning -- even villanelles. That's my form of "religion," actually.
-
-
is cinquains and villanelles your religion, or is it sinning, women or sinning women?
And hey, since when do we call it "sinning" anyway!!!
Actually, Monte, I often write the kind of "sinning" you refer to... just give me a little time, kind sir .... i'm working on one
-
-
You do realize that there's a new requirement for such cinquains that they be accompanied by "instructional videos", right? Honest, I swear the videos are mandatory! I think Kevin is meaning to post a column about it, but you can just take my word for it for now.
-
-
Ooooh, now how come I don't know about the instructional videos. I have to speak to Kevin about THAT...well, since I did write a column about cinquains with "instructions" lololol
