Contest It says 300 points... but that all depends on you by Lady Patricia

Alright guys,
I haven't written a poem since Feb. >.< I've written story after story and made storyboard after storyboard for music videos but not ONE DAMN POEM.

So, I am here to beg you for a decent poem. Yes, I even used the word DECENT implying that poetry on here doesn't often meet those standards.

Now I love poetry, period, love, hate, dark, light, sexy, abusive; if you can think if up, I can enjoy it. However... because there is virtually no original idea for a poem I must beseech you. It's gotta be different. If you want a picture as inspiration I can throw one in on you (I'm really good at giving those out).

Yeah so, anyway. Like the title says, the points I am starting this at are at three hundred, but that is bound to go up with the more entries I receive and their caliber. If a poem is put in that I feel is worth twice as much, well shit, I'ma raise it up.

Seriously though, I just need some inspiring shit. Something to wake me up.

    Alright guys. I know it said I hadnt read your stuff but I did. My computer at my job doesnt allow me to sign on for some reason... security of some sort. Anywho, I read them all, and I will comment on them if I have a chance but it wont be likely.

    Im sorry.

    I asked for inspiration and then was almost to damned busy to accept it.

    so lets see, firstly, this wasnt at all a bad set of entries. I was suprised and pleased. If I had been aware that I had allowed prewrites I probably would likely have kicked out anyone who asked to put them in. But again, I was a touch suprised at how amusing these were.

    THE WINNER:
    Keith -- that was sweet, endearing, funny and almost immidiatly i felt myself writting something to its regard after. I didnt even read the other poems until I was done writing what had suddenly struck me.

    SECOND WINNER
    Saxaphone Man... I dont know you, or anything about your writing-- but that was incredibly hot. It didnt inspire me to write but it did wake me up and it did make me feel and goddamn it did it make me 'hot'. If you don't mind my saying so.lol (if you are a woman, honey, it's just as sexy as it was the first time) I dont know because i havent looked upon your page yet.

    THIRD WINNER
    I'm not really one to enjoy stuff involving religion mainly because I'm not a religious person in the least. I have friends that do sermons and when they do that's cool, it's powerful and all, but I tend to be one of those people that deliberatly fights it because of all the stupid shit that gets done for religious (idiotic) reasons.
    ---- that's not what i wanted to say though. Your poem was good. It caught me off guard, it made me think and flinch a bit. I like that. powerful, a touch angry but with the voice of someone not pissed but wise. I dig. THanks for joining.

    --these weren't bad poems but if you intend to write a poem that will be so long-- you have got to make sure that it is constantly interesting. Constantly. I write long stuff, but I make sure to keep my reader entranced, captivated...

    Polyacrostic: honey.... I couldn't follow any of it. O.o Perhaps it was too smart for me.... or I was sleepy... but I tried to read it,several times and the more I read it the more confused I became.
    BUT it did look pretty!!
