  • Final notes:
    Well this was no dissapointment at all
    there were some fine hiakus here with many different approaches. The poem chosen as the winner is very profound and carries very deep meaning to me since The Eagle is our nation's emblem. It is a patriotic poem to me and one that from a soldier's viewpoint I feel would understand. I do like to see people who take chances and go over the line. Yes sometiems it does not work probalby more often then not, but I feel the best poetry written today is written by those who take risks to be original
