Cancer

A friend of the family died in his sleep this morning. He was fighting cancer that had attached its self to his heart. The doctors thought that he would beat this, but apparently they were wrong. Cancer can turn the strongest men into weaklings. If you have felt the touch of cancer in your life, or in the life of someone close to you, you know how this feels. Please be nice.

Rules: No bashing, cussing, pro cancer or anything adult. Edit: Religion IS allowed

Thanks,

Midnight Mornings

  • I am sorry i can't enter your contest. I am a 20 year surviver and I credit God for my complete rercovery. so with religion excluded so am I
    Good Luck with your contest
    • I have decided to let the religon be added, I only said no because I didn't want people to be mad or get in trouble for allowing "contraversial topics"
  • I am a survivor too.

I have to wonder why you would not want religion in this as wingsofgold25 said. I know for a fact that I survived by the grace of God. Cancer of the heart is rare, my uncle died from it in 1972.
    • I am adding religion because I would very much like to read your's and wings' poems
  • ahh i just finished my poem and it was too late to enter sorry

but if u would like to read it still

  • Okay.

Now I understand well if it is a rhetorical question I can see the point. You are thirteen so people give the host a break. I can understand cancer of the heart because my uncle was the 202 person in the world that had cancer at that time. It is a rare cancer. So thanks for hosting this contest. You may want to put a piece in my contest if you like. I am fair minded, in fact I like to encourgae the younger generation to do more writing.
