Thanks! Please check out the future Iron Poet!
Note: All honorable mentions (top 4-17 are in no particular order)
*******************
Hey Iron Poet is back, and I'm looking for the 3rd Iron Poet! This time I've changed my way of judging things. I like poems that are 'persuasive' and 'meaningful' to you or everyone around you. Let's start with the options
OPTION 1
>Is my favorite topic today: Global Warming. Persuade your audience to change for the benefit of the world. Educated and/or persuade your audience to help solve this problem. Since this is my favorite topic, everyone who chooses this option will be given a small amount of points.
OPTION 2
Use any of the titles below (a favorite on most iron poet contests)
>Signal Fire
>Magic in The Blue Sky
>Feast or Famine
>Alteration
>When He/She Sings About Me
>In The Year 3000
>This Shell
>Phone Call for Jesus
>Why Wait Today?
>I Can Be Casper
>Star Fall
OPTION 3
Most challenging option, as usual is the word bank, choose a word combination. Example, if you use word bank A, you have to use all the words in that letter. Use them in any tense you like as long as the root word is there.
(If you like challenges, this option is for you, it's evil I tell you!)
A. SUBMARINE, TRUMPET, SOLITUDE, BASKET, TRIGGER
B. HEAVENS, SOLEMN, POSTURE, TIME, JOUST
C. LIES, DRIVEN, SCARCE, UNIVERSE, SPINE,
D. DOLL, FORSAKEN, ALIBI, CONTEST, SPACESHIP
The Good ole' Rules:
1.)no chatspeak (No TyPiNg LiKe ThIs or LIKE THIS or lyk ds)
2.)no erotica
3.)must rhyme
4.)no prewrites
5.)All previous winners of the IRON POETS can't join (3rd,2nd and 1st place)
6.)Write the option number on the author's comments --- PLEASE (if you chose option 3, please state the word bank letter as well). Also please write 'I.C. Winner' so I know you read the rules
7.)One entry per poet
8.)A combination of options is good
Finally my last few words:
> I reserve the right to remove your poem in the contest if you violate any rules, you will be warned
> Limited at 20 entries but we'll see what happens...
> I reserve the right to close the contest, or extend it for others.
> I will comment on each post.
> 3 honorable mentions. Bronze and silver winners also get points (of course)
Good Luck to all who enter!
Thanks! Please check out the future Iron Poet!

Good Luck to all who enter!
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on June 5, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 100, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 14 people
- Final notes: Among all Iron poet contests, this is by far the best in terms of talents. It took me days to judge and I just want everyone to know that everyone deserves a trophy (and so I did gave everyone a trophy). I also commented on every entry, I hope my comments helped you in any way or encouraged you to write more.
Just a reminder, everyone who did not win the top 3 (gold, silver, bronze) please join future Iron poets because you guys are really good. Maybe next time you can give me 200% of what you got .
Again it was a tough call, everyone's entries are good, some were great. Congratulations to our new Iron Poet. Thank you all for joining and see you on the next Iron Poet!
All honorable mentions are in no particular order.
