Peanut Butter and Jelly Time

I was talking with a friend today and we were discussing the economy and she happened to mention how she may soon be feeding her family peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for dinner just to stretch a buck.  Which naturally gave me the idea for this contest.

There are a few ways you can fulfill the criteria for this contest.

Option #1.  Write a poem that makes a peanut butter and jelly sandwich sound like the most sensuous meal ever, shared between two lovers.

Option #2.  Write a poem that makes a peanut butter and jelly sandwich the most appealing and delicious meal ever, even better than fast food!

Option #3.  Be careful with this one please.  This is a real challenge.  I want you to write a poem where peanut butter and jelly are in such demand that the world is on the verge of war over obtaining it.

No line limit.

Unlimited word count.

Put the option number in your author notes

Just follow the rules of the site and the criteria of the contest please.

  • Final notes:
Never, ever in my life would I have guessed that a contest about PB&J would be one of the most difficult contests I ever had to judge. Nor has there ever been a contest when I wanted to award all of the entrants a trophy. I hope you take the time to read one another and appreciate the imagination and humor on this page. I know I did. Thank you all! You were awesome.
