Dragon Book Of Verse

I have an old book that has a collection of poetry from the masters called "The Dragon Book Of Verse".

What I want you to do is choose a page number between 4 and 244, and reserve a space with your poem titled "Page" plus the number of your choice. eg "Page 57".
NO PAGE WILL BE USED TWICE.

I will then leave you a comment with ten words from that page in the book for you to use as a word bank. I will also let you know which poem its from and who wrote it.

Please keep entries to less than 50 lines as it is not the only contest I am currently hosting.

* Nothing too graphic, violent or abusive will be accepted.
* Identify form if used
* No FunKy TyPinG
* Text must be readable on background

Pages already chosen are: 4, 9, 13, 17, 19, 22, 25, 30, 41, 72, 107, 115, 120, 222 and 234.

  • Final notes:
    Thank you all for your patience and your wonderfully creative entries, great variation of themes and moods expressed from your given word banks.

    Thanks once again for taking the challenge and surpassing my expectations.

    I just have to say.....I really don't like it when people

    end contests early because they can't wait to judge...or whatever the reason...I have a date book
    of when poems are due....this closed a week early..
    I guess it's okay for those who got theirs done..
    but for some of us who have been working on an entry for you...it isn't really fair...Just my 2 cents....which isn't worth much I know...but I feel better having said it! Thanks!!
