Well it isn't as good as the naked poet statue for my last such contest, but exactly what is this man doing with a small flock of sheep in the city of London?
Answers in poetry please.
Keep it cleanish!!!
The statue is called Paternoster and is by Elizabeth Frink and was unveiled in 1975.
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on May 27
- Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 250
- Final notes: I didn't think I would be giving a gold and points to a haiku! But it seems so write and a perfect reason for having a small herd in Paternoster Square. The silver of course is the only one that clearly shows why there are sheep on a statue, they are there for all the rest of the sheep to look at!
All the rest of the entries are superb and I could have judged in many different orders for many reasons, but this is a fun contest not a serious exploration of a particular form of poetry so I can give the prizes on the basis of the length of my grin!
Thanks all for entering.
