for this most interesting contest
First off, thanks to all of your judges for all of the patience and hard work displayed...I am so much honored for helping out...
To all poets who entered, thank you for your time and fresh writes...
You have given us more than expected, especially after only 2 or 3 entries the first few days
(good marketing, Bear, lol)
If you fine poets ever join again, I hope you will find friendship, respect, and a hand to ALWAYS help as I have in the past....
As a last sidenote, the benefit of entering these contest are more than a trophy...you get the chance for experienced poets to READ and REVIEW your work, imagine trying to get an experienced musician to listen to your music....
it's kind of like that....
so take every opportunity to get ahead of the game
and to improve your talents, if indeed writing is your calling...

Final Notes:
I think the fact we had so few entries compared to most PO contests is a good indication of what a tough challenge this was for younger poets. I admire each of you not only for taking this on, but for the talents I've seen in each of your writes. I sincerely hope to see each of you again in future POs! : )

The contest has been extended for at least a day...might want to check back even after that, as I'm not sure if it will be extended again or not, depending on the number of entries.
I know studies are priority. Keep us in mind if you have the time.

I have a question ... the filler words that are banned...
if we use them, is our write completely null and has no chance at winning - or can I get past that with writing something good? -

We deduct points for rules that aren't followed, but we don't DQ the entire write...however...I know your writing and have faith you can get through a poem without using those few words.
