UPDATE: I am extending this contest until Sunday evening and will accept one prewrite that was entered into the wrong contest. All other prewrites will be disqualified.
I won a gold in Immortal Obsurity's contest and am paying it forward.
The winner of this contest is expected to use 300 of the gold points to hold a similar contest.
This contest will be a 24 hour quickie.
I am accepting 10 entries. You may reserve a place if you will complete the poem by 10 pm PST on Thursday.
(If you are unsure of the time difference please refer to San Francisco at:
http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/)
FIFTY WORDS OR LESS
The prompt is:
"We must never forget that art is not a form of propaganda; it is a form of truth."
John F. Kennedy, October 26, 1963
And now the rules:
1) Spelling, grammar, and punctuation (if used)are very important so please proofread your poem.
2) Incomprehensibility is not a virtue and does not equal depth of thought.
3) Chose a plain color background. It is acceptable to use a border if the typing is against
a single color backing.
4) No picture to accompany the poem. I feel that a great poem stands on its own merit and does not need an illustration.
Other than that, please treat each other as adults and use common sense.
Good luck and have fun.
