Story-Telling Poems

Simple contest. The title pretty much says it all, I want a poem that is a story.

I like

Alliteration
Assonance
Imagery
Metaphor/Similes
Meter
Rhyme

Make good use of as many of those as possible to increase your chance of winning. Imagery is the most important.

Pre-writes are allowed, one entry per poet, however, if you see that I've viewed your poem and it has not become a finalist feel free to enter another one.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on May 8
  • Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 200, Bronze: 100
  • Final notes:
After careful deliberation, here are winners.
  • To judge this contest, you need to have at least as many finalists as you have rewards. You have 3 awards but only 2 finalists.

I have two poems I would like to present, so I will start with the one I think has more of what you want, and if that doesn't suit, I'll give you my other one.
  • I accidentally set the open time too short.

so the contest is not yet done? right? ^_^
      • Well it's done. I just have to judge it. I meant for the contest to go for two weeks so there would be more time.
  • Somehow I judged backwards, gold got bronze etc. =/
