This might sound like a weird idea for a contest, but I just shaved my head to support a girl at my school who has cancer, and I'd like some poems about hair. Tell me why you like your hair, why you hate it, why you dye it, etc. Please only head hair, not body hair. . . .
Interestingly enough, there were about eighteen of us who did this, and I was the only girl, so I'd especially appreciate poetry from women about their hair. Tell me why hair is so important, or why it isn't. I actually think it's really fun to be bald, so maybe if you've experienced that give me a poem about lack of hair.
More than one entry is allowed, no prewrites.
So, give me a head of hair.
