Modern interpretations of Shakespeare

I love Shakespeare,
and April 23 is his (supposed) birthday, so I decided to honor him today

The title basically says it all- modern, contemporary works please.
Feel free to write about one of his characters, rewrite a piece of a play, write love sonnets, I don't care. Anything inspired by him, just no biographies.

1.Rhyme if you dare, although I would love to see freeverse.
2. Don't steal his famous phrases (i.e. "to be or not to be", "jealousy is the green-eyed monster", etc!)
3. No Middle English

thanks to everyone who entered, i'm glad to see i'm not the only one who likes shakespeare here--

would have preferred to see more freeverse interpretations, but it's all good.

thanks all, glad i could inspire something.

... shall do honor, my lady, to most tragic whence came of thine and this world's great bard the halting, and most lamentuous (this mine a word, and not thine dictionary's word, of this I admit with flown pen unable to capture ) death of the two lovers and upon their scene shall I lightly tread

don't know how many will take up this challenge ... but I will be there

thank you for the gold ,,, and the opportunit or stimulus to get back into some shakespeare ...

... congrats to the other winners ...

this one took some research, and am really glad I did that, for I have found wondrous some of the various ones of which capturing I might have done no soon had I not, nor of a haughty prematurity, found, captured and clasped this dreadnaught, this William, high as the firmaments lies low beneath the God's of his art ....
