We're all afraid of something, right? A phobia of course isn't just a mild fear of a bumble bee, or a discomforting feeling around a spider. Phobia is an abnormal or irrational fear of something in particular, often without cause. Not everyone has a 'phobia' but I'm damn sure most of you do, as I know I do. Some of us have more than one, some of us have none. If you don't have one, write about a phobia someone else you know has.

2. Prewrites are allowed IF related to the topic of phobias.
3. Please put which phobia you have in your AN - I have given a link below for a full list of phobia names, so have no excuse.
4. Please label your entries correctly.
5. Use backgrounds that are legible.
6. Remember to stick to the rules, or you may be DQ'd.

lol - at the off chance that others may find this rather comical I have to share my irrational fear of a praying mantis here ... ~shaking head~ yeah, believe it or not, they give me the creeps, but I wouldn't call it a phobia ... lol - just thought I'd share

the closest thing i found was um
amaxophobia-fear of riding in cars??
so please forgive me for not having it titled correctly.. -
i have a phobia and i have done alot of research, and looked on the list, and have spoken to several psychologists, and there is still no actual name for it. ... however there is one that is semi-close and it sounds wierd but it is boogyphobia. is it alright if i just list that as the phobia?

That is perfectly fine. If you like, you can explain your phobia more in-depth even if it's not listed. I'm rather curious about phobias, as I have the phobia of slime, heights, ventriolquist dummies, things that are made to look real but aren't and the colour green, so mine are rather 'different' too but never found one for the colour green?

Thank you so much for the gold The fear is being buried alive (sorry curse of the time zone), not sure if it has a name, but it scares the hell outta me. Was a great contest, amazing to see so many different and unique phobias. Congrats to all the other winners
