In process of judging.

Picture just because I like it.

JUDGING! I need to type up and finish a lot of the essays, please don't enter any more?

OKAY!

I'll speak in caps if you'll read it -

NO MORE ENTRIES!!! I'm typing the essays onto Word and then putting them on here. I'll probably save each as a column and then link to it on your poem, but please please PLEASE just have some patience! I wrote them by hand, which took long enough, and withthe rest of my exams and revising, it's taking a while to put them up.

Thank you, sorry, and

NO MORE ENTRIES!

Okay, here's the deal -

My exams are coming up. I know that's not a big deal, because it's happening for everyone. But can they give you trophies for it?

The deal:

I have two psychology and two English exams on the same day. Once again, I know it's the same for everyone, but unlike most of them, I tend not to stress about those subjects that much. So I'm practicing. I need to be able to do this in my sleep.

That's where your poetry comes in. I need poetry and prose to analyse. I'm going to be somewhat picky here, but only somewhat. Poetry needs to be be over 10 lines, as a bare minimum. Preferably longer. No maximum line length, but please keep in mind I have very little time and even less of an attention span. Prose you pretty much have freedom with.

The rules:

You are going to get a long comment. Probably many. I will point out a lot on it. This is often interesting, to see how other people can draw from your poetry, but if you're one of those who dislike that then please don't enter. I don't want to offend you, whether intentionally or not.

Secondly, I may push the deadline forward. As previously stated, I have very little time. This means that the analysis will be shorter than normal too for most. Rest assured it will be judged, and points will probably increase. I'm generous when it comes to points.

Also, I'm only letting fifteen poetry and ten prose. If I feel overwhelmed, it may decrease. I say "only", but believe me, I put a lot into it, so it takes longer than you may expect.

Saying this, I'm allowing you to reserve a spot, so to speak. But please also remember about it! I know I have a habit of forgetting. Because of this, you have to leave your name in the author's notes. I won't DQ you straight away if you don't, but I do need to know who you are, for the number purposes. This will not affect my judging in any way.

Now that I sound like the perfectionist that I can sometimes be, I'll let you write! If you allow me my final say

Right, they're predicting me an A in English. I am desperate for that A, because it's going to save me when it comes to applications later on. Those familiar with the British school system know how few shots you get to get these marks - especially since I don't believe in rewrites. Anyway, my points here is PLEASE give me something I can work with. Religion is okay as a topic, but better if you leave hints of it. As is love. Metaphors are welcome. Structure or free-verse. Anything, but challenges are welcome. Just nothing so complicated that I have to squint to try to make sense of it.

There we go, my lovelies! Write me something lovely.

(I sound like my English teacher now...)
