Note: if anyone who shares my taste in poetry would like to co-judge, please let me know. I'm willing to have 1-3 co-judges if anyone feels like this is a worthy enough idea and has the time.

I'll try to keep it simple, though this is rather unlike me.
This contest is for dedication poetry to special people in your lives who have never had a poem dedicated to them before, to your knowledge. Some people tend to have a lot of these written for them, some are forgotten from this point of view. Write small words that count more than the whole world, for the latter. Make them feel special and loved. I will judge based on how I perceive poetic quality, but who cares? If you can do this one right you are already winners and have gained more than points or trophies.
Rules (which I will mostly not be able to check, but if you cheat it's yourselves you're cheating):
1. Be honest.
2. Dedicate your poem to a real person who will or is likely to read it and who has, to your knowledge, never been written such a poem.
3. Just to make sure, nothing for me or any co-judges who may join.
4. Try to make sure that your poem is written in a style and of a length the one you're writing for would enjoy, and do your best in that style and length.
5. If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on April 29, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 3000, Silver: 1000, Bronze: 300, Honorable mention: 4 people
- Final notes: First I must say this was a rather hard contest to judge, so I felt. The three top trophies are those pieces that both Zayra and I have eventually agreed on. The HMs are in alphabetical order of screen names, as the two of us opted for very different orders. Thanks a lot to everyone for your entries.
