Yepp, another contest - my last one had ZERO interest - I guess it was too hard - oh well, here's a new one!
Choose from the following:
1. Write a found poem, but with your own twist. For example, I recently wrote a found poem using titles from new poems on here. The words came from others, but the poem is mine - kinda cool, huh? here's the link: http://allpoetry.com/poem/4133941
2. Palindrome - this will be a challenge, extra applause to those who attempt this one.
A Palindrome is: A word, phrase, verse, or sentence that reads the same backward or forward
examples: (found on this link - some are hysterical)
http://www.palindromelist.com/
Ah, Satan sees Natasha
Flee, elf!
Was it Eliot's toilet I saw?
These are exact letter palindromes. I won't make you do that - but a short poem using all the same words - for example:
Today Tom picked me up. "Up me!" picked Tom. "Today?"
-- MASSIVE kudos and applause again, for the person that chooses this option - maybe I should just have a palindrome contest.. hmmm (ponders)
3. Acrostic - this should be interesting - the acrostic MUST be longer than 12 lines. Find a map or globe, close your eyes and put your finger on a city, state, country, etc. Write an acrostic using that location.
Don't forget! The poem must be LONGER THAN 12 LINES. So - If you land on "Fargo", the best thing to do is write a poem "Fargo, North Dakota" - that's 16 letters, 16 lines. yay!
4. Write a poem inspired by one of the following phrases:
(you will not get extra points if you are inspired by more than one)
Finally, something has gone wrong.
No way did you really make that happen.
Yes, it's true.
Smile? What the hell for?
I don't think that's what he meant.
5. A short poem - 20 words or less. Make it good!
Alrighty - Those are your choices.

3rd - Picture Framed Personality - this piece has such strong words, that when unnecessary words are removed end in a VERY strong piece.
HM - Come on, smile! - another piece with such a strong message and such strong words, again, if extra "stuff" is removed - ends in another VERY strong piece.
Congrats to all!
