Thanks to both Michelle AND Ash ... lol, they gave me points coz the one is a fruit cake and the other is a milk tart

This one will be worth 1000 points and because of the amount of points that are up for grabs the entries best be worthwhile!
SPELLING AND GRAMMAR ARE EVEN MORE IMPORTANT NOW!

NO LONGER THAN 5 WORDS - 5 WORDS ONLY!
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on April 15, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 1000
- Final notes: i handed the judging over to Tattboy and these are His words and choices:
There were many interesting, thoughtful and inspiring entries. So, in an attempt to bring this down to the eventual winner I looked at which one, for Me, best represented the quote "The day we lose our need for dreams is the day the human race forfeits its soul."
“Unlocking the Thoughs Within” was more of an explanation of what dreams are. And there is a typo in the title!
“Truth” was interesting but I felt was hard on “deeds”, dreams can only move us forward with deeds.
“We Lost Morality” was interesting but did not grab Me, did not touch enough on the soul.
”Deep Soul” was an interesting take on the everlasting nature of the soul, but, again, to Me, was negative in that dreams die; they do not have to ...
“Dead Imagination” was interesting, but again did not touch on the soul (except in a removed sort of way).
“Flight Plan” was interesting in its take on dreams, looking at the function of dreams (the real ones we have when we sleep). I feel, however, that it misses the point of the quote.
“Only Dreamers Prevail” did well in getting across the message of the need for dreams, but missed something indefinable about the soul.
“Animus” was a very good poem that said a lot in the five words. However, I feel that it did not say enough about the quote.
“untitled” – I loved this because it can be read on different levels. On the mundane it is true that tomorrow awakens from today's dream but then, if one looks deeper, if the human race is to grow then its tomorrow must be based upon dreams of what we can be. Also, this one managed to say everything with the five words of the poem, not needing to added more through a title.
“Power of a Dream” worked very well with its allusion to Dr. King’s “I have a dream” speech”. For me this was a close second but, for Me the winner had to be ...

speaking of souls
my daughter went out back on the patio earlier tonight and i later saw the same thing, there was a raccoon as big as a dog. i asked her, "but wasn't it beautiful?" (assuming it was probably a female) and she said, "hell no, it was like a freak monkey, no a bear and it looked like it wanted to eat my soul"
lmao
anyways, it's going on 4:00 a.m. and I'm back as promised to say good night
have fun with your contests and I'm sure you'll get some wonderful entries
Love you Wench

GOLD :)
Thank you so much for my Gold trophy!
It's always a challenge to get big thought across in few words, as great as the trophy is I'm just as happy with your comment; how you read into it, all I hoped to express.
without our dreams,
what hope for tomorrow?
Thanks for a great contest! -
thanks for the response and the placing of "Deep Soul", I understand your comment and view point to the negativity felt of "dreams die... they do not have too..." though i would like to add this, for some to survive their lives, such as nightmares, failures, regrets, past mental/phyical abuse etc... some of their dreams need to be conquered so they can survive and some dreams need to die/be killed off so they will survive.... just a another point of view... as there is sometimes justice in letting some dreams die... a negative can have a positve outcome, depending how one cares and chooses to look at it!
thanks again i enjoyed the contest... -

You are right of course. I was speaking more in relation to the quote. The quote was looking at the positive need for dreams and so that was the angle I was looking at.
If one is troubled by dreams that force a reliving of something bad then, yes, it is necessary to let them die.
Thanks for your entry.
