I went searching for tears being shed. You wouldn't imagine how many pictures I found. Why are so many people hurting? Why isn't anyone doing anything to help them? Or is there someone? Anyway, I'm looking for some stories. You know how you look into someone's eyes and you can tell what they're feeling? Tell me the story behind their tears. Are they crying because they're happy or because they're sad? Tell me what happened, tell me things that you don't want to hear about on a daily basis. I want to feel the pain. I can never fully understand people and why they are hurting so badly. I can only understand my own pain. But, maybe you can help me. Maybe you can relate to the pictures. Tell me your story through them or their story through you.
There's only a few rules.
I know, I know. Ewh, the rules. Gross.
1. No cursing, at least not excessively.
2. Try to keep it at least decent.
3. Spell the best you can. Nobody is perfect. (Lol. I goofed at first. I meant nobody, not 'not everyone'.)
4. In your notes, tell me if it's about someone or you.
I WILL COMMENT EVERY POEM.
But at first I'll wait for more entries.
That way it's not like I'm getting ahead of myself.
:: Tips For Entries ::
I DO want poetry, not just - one day a girl blah blah.
I like rhyming sometimes, but not always.
I like for things like this to sound serious.
I love imagery, help me see the situation.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on April 30, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 150, Bronze: 75, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: Thank you, each and every one of you, for entering into this contest and allowing me the chance to read your poems. All of you have an amazing talent for imagery and detailing emotions to such a point where I even began crying, myself, when I read your works of art. If I had the points, you would've all received something in this contest, but I only had enough for so many. Maybe another time you'll have a chance at it and perhaps I'll have more to give. A big congratulations to the winners and to the rest of you who really did your best. Good luck in future contests and keep on penning!
