We Hold These Truths.

"We hold these truths to be self evident that all men are created equal and are endowed by their creator to certain inalienable rights."

What does this mean? I want honest writes here. If you wish to do an essay type piece that is alright as long as there are no sticky caps, Internet chat speak and watch the profanity as we may have young people entering. I have inspiration from clovis67906curious. Thank you and this is also a contest to thank my benefactor for her present. So sharpen your wits and pencils and it is not necessary to rhyme in this piece.
I do like all forms of poetry and if you will try to have at least 20 lines but there is no limit to the lines. Also no limit to the number of enteries per person. Be respectful to each other and read the others poetry as well. Not required but it is just a nice thing to do. I will add honorable mentions as I get them. And if possible I will extend contest. I will allow poems from other countries on what you think. What are our inalienable rights? Do you feel that all men are created equal and are they treated as equals. Think about it.

    Judy, I would love to enter your contest, but I fear my rant would turn into a very long column! Hope you get lots of entries! Equal! LOL IN Alabama, black people are still not allowed to sit under trees! Ain't that a bitch!

    This will be a contest that it is hard to say who is going to win. Suffice it to say that each entry is a winner and that each of you that write here have every reason to be proud. Your writes are sincere, they are honest and as long as I am an American you have the right to say it. Before it ever ends I want to say be very proud poets because you are doing a good job.
