You are walking home and on your way home you must cross a bridge. You encounter someone whom you are sure is about to commit suicide, but says they are just watching the water. You can tell he's down by the way his shoulders and head are down. In the moonlight you see vaguely he's been crying. Do you walk past him and keep going or do you stop and chat a bit? Could he be a serial killer baiting you to throw you over the bridge? Or is he a gentle soul down on his luck who just needs a pick me up. He's a handsome man, dressed in a pair of expensive jeans with a button down blue shirt that matches his eyes perfectly. His hair is somewhat long and slightly wavy cut just above his shoulders. You can't imagine what this beautiful young man would be contemplating jumping over the bridge for but you are certain that is his plan because you saw him climb back down when he saw you were about to walk across the bridge.
Tell me the story in free verse or rhyme about what happens next, who this young man is, what is this burden he carries that has him so far down that he'd end his own life? Could you make a difference in a strangers life? What would you say and do? How would you or would you confront him?
Give me your best poetic journey into the unknown...
No rules, just make sure I can read it.
Thanks.
