Hello Fellow Poets,
This contest is dedicated to T.S.Eliot. I love all his poems, so I want you to be inspired by one of them. It doesn't matter that you have his same beliefs or write his same themes or in the same technique...I just want you to write something that when I read I say "YES, this reminds me of Eliot". & By the way in my last contests I found many Poets that have that sense & style...
Some Rules:
1- Don't get astray, If you don't understand, don't just submit a poem, instead ask me for further details.
2- Free Verse, Rhymed, Any form & Any Genre, Just keep it to the point.
3- No longer than 40 lines.
4- Plz don't forget to mention which poem you were inspired by.

I would like to take part but I know nothing of the author, see, and I think that's where you've lost your entries. You could broaden the requirements... but I think this would be awesome if only I knew of Elliots work...

Sorry... I know how hard it is when people do not enter your competitions... but although I appreciate Eliot's work - I do not think that I have ever written anything that would "remind" you of Eliot --- well, there was one piece I wrote when I was 15 was rather TOO derivatively reminiscent of "The dove descending..." so, when I realized this, I scrapped it... but certainly nothing I have produced in the last 57 years would fit.
But I wish you luck with it... -
-
I love that part of "The Dove Descending.." in The Four Quartets, Little Gidding...
I think you may try to write something like it too, it'd be interesting & I can wait to read it...
Hope you enter
