I am paying forward for winning gold in Pamela A. Lamppa's contest with this poem:
http://allpoetry.com/poem/4074827
The game is called CHARADES.
The object of the game/contest is to give 10 people a chance to pen a poem consisting of (20) words, that is the answer to the clue/riddle/prompt that I will provide.
Example: Hairy, eight legs, fangs.
If you feel that the clue describes a spider, you must write an answer in a poem about a spider.
* The answer word or phrase may be used in the poem or not, but the poem must be 20 words. No more, no less.
Gold winner will be asked to host the next game/contest.
OK Here we go!
Riddle/Prompt will be posted when all spots are filled. Once posted, you will have approximately one hour to write your poem.
Your Prompt/Clue/Riddle Is:
Fred was not too verbally swift, but he understood his daughter Gertrude’s love of words. After a fun day at the orchard they walked back to the farmhouse,
“You are the Winesap of my oculus.” He said, to Gertrude who looked back at him curiously.
What could he have meant?

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on April 6, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 150, Bronze: 50
- Final notes: Well, there were only two contestants left. The gold filled the requirements well with 20 words exactly, as the rules stated. The Silver had 23 words but had an interesting write too.
Something went wrong with the 3rd poem's posting but got bronze anyway.
Thank you for entering!
Paul
