This is my first contest. 700 points going to five wonderful poets. Anything goes at the moment but there are a few things I like. I absolutely love poems about drug abuse (whether you know someone who was an addict or you were an addict or are I love this because I can relate.), controversial issues (I love controversies!), politics (especially satyrical. I like to make fun of politics and most politicians. Even the ones I support.), and of course I love to hear about healing (especially emotional), your views on the southern states (do you think that these Southerners are intelligent or all "red necks"? Are they all barefoot?) and comedy (I really want to laugh!).
I want you all to have fun, but I have a few rules:
1) Please use correct grammar and punctuation unless you are trying to make a point about your subject through that.
2) If you edit your poem, please tell me in the title.
3) Spell all of your words correctly (even in the author's notes and comments) and spell your words out. I will disqualify you if I see any chat speech.
4) Have fun! Or I'll virtually shoot you...
5) Please put the name of your favorite musical (or least favorite or the name of one you have heard of) in your author's notes so I know you've read these.
Please have fun my loves!
