True Love Poems

I am in the mood for true love poems! Kissing in the rain, Knights in shining armor, fidelity, beauty, a hidden glen in a medieval forest.

I want poems from lovers.

Rules

#1 It MUST rhyme and it SHOULD have meter.

#2 No adult materieal whatsoever. I don't want anything REMOTELY like this.

#3 No SAD poems!

You can only enter once, so make it your most romantic.

If you are at a loss, use this line or the picture as inspiration (though do not use the line in your poem as it is my own).

True lovers love the smell of earth!

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on April 3
  • Rewards: Gold: 300
  • Final notes:
Despite my being very disgusted with many entries and the many people who did not the follow the rules (and then got mad at ME), there were many just fantastic pieces!

A difficult contest to judge, as I enjoyed so many of these. I judged by the meter and rhyme, but I also judged by how much they moved me and which ones captivated me personally.

All of those in the finalists were considered for the gold and other trophies (and even some not in the finalists list mind you) and I have left them in the finalists list because I think they are deserving of trophies and exceptional poems. But you can't award everyone.

Thank you so much for entering these wonderful poems! Please enter my future contests as well. And now... to see who the poets are behind these poems...

Maybe I will add some new people to my favorites list.

I'm removing poems that are either sad, lack rhyme or have no consistant rhythm.
