*Intelligent title goes here*

*Yes. That IS a chocolate rose in a glass of milk. Pray to God Heaven is like that!*

So...I suppose the "Intelligent" title drew you here. That or something else, I'm glad you came. I got, like, so bored, and I needed something bright, so BAM! It hit me! I haven't held a contest in a while! But, let's leave that apart.
I honestly need to make up my mind about a lot of stuff, and certainly the topic is not prime-time on the list. So, as I usually do, I will ask for your prewrites on certain topics. As for THESE topics, on which my mind is made up:

1) Write me(or, just make me read) something that will make me think. But not just "Hmm..now what socks should I wear today?" think. I mean like real profound thinking. I know I may not seem like much, but I swear my brain NEEDS to read something like that once in a while.
2) Make simple things interesting. Like, take a sock. Make it interesting. (And yes, I am obsessed with socks. 20 pairs and counting!)

Yes, only two options. No, I won't make you put anything in your AN. I don't care if you read this - I'll figure out anyway, so be smart and read furthermore!

Shall I call them rules? I won't DQ you if you do something wrong, so I guess not. But still, it sounds snazzy. So there we go:

~*~RULES!~*~
1. No shallowness. Be deep enough to get my attention and smart enough to keep it.
2. I have the attention span of a goldfish (3 seconds, don't bother thanking me ). So...keep it short and sweet, mmkay? Nothing over 30 lines will get you Gold. And trust me, those points are tempting.
3. Rhyme it to win it. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Rhyming and Rhythm-the 2 R's!
4. No Adult, can't read it, and wouldn't if I could.
5. ...Ok, find something interesting and intelligent to put here, and you got yourself a cookie!

So, that would be it! Also, before entering, wanna hear something interesting? I just read online that the bullfrog is the only animal that never sleeps! I feel sorry for the poor animal, sleeping rocks my socks off. Really.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on April 15, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 1000, Silver: 500, Bronze: 300, Honorable mention: 5 people
  • Final notes:
    Hello, dear poets!
I'll start off by apologizing for me taking so long to judge this. I've been involved in a lot of real-life contests, school & all, so I guess I just hadn't had the time. Or, when I had it, I just did not had the certain feeling to comment on your entries. I read them all from the beginning, but it wouldn't have been nice, ending without commenting, now would it?
As for the actual final notes - I shall thank the contestants for the pleasure I had reading and commenting their poems. Because it truly was one - I've held 3 other contests before, but this was, I have to say, the most successful one. I shall also apologize for giving some poems miles of commenting. I shall also apologize for not being able to give you all Gold, Silver or Bronze, but...there had to be a way to split the points, so there we go, we have our winners!
I will not say anything else, but wish you all best of luck in all the future contests you may join, and may your muse forever be with you!
    ~Masky
