Goodwill for the Bandits... (group members only please)

Hello, I'm new to the group and was hoping to start off on the right foot. This contest will give me the chance to read some of your poetry, and hopefully get to know some of you better. Also, right off the bat I'm giving you points, so I hope that makes you like me more

The theme of the contest is Style Emulation- I'd like you to pick a favorite poet (it could be a famous poet or someone you love from this site) and emulate the style in which they write- if there is a poem that you are specifically mirroring feel free to include a link in your authors comments though this is in no way necessary.

Rules/Notes:

Prewrites are always, ALWAYS welcome. (I abhor a Prewrite prejudice, if it's applicable poetry then it's applicable poetry!)

I will be respectful, but I try to also be constructively critical, we're all on this site to learn and be supported.

In your Authors Notes, include your name, why you joined All Poetry, what author your emulating, and a piece of trivia about you. Don't slave over this, I just want to get to know you all a little better.

Please don't get frustrated if this contest is open for an extended period of time or if I don't immediately get to your work- I leave EXTREMELY detailed comments when I feel that a piece merits it or could significantly benefit from it and I'm also in very ill health so it takes me a while to get through everything.

You're all winners in my heart. (That's not really true, but I'm sure most of you are.)
