I want poetry using technical terminology and/or industrial language metaphorically. This happens to be my specialty so you may read some of my work employing this technique to see what I mean.
I have a rather extensive vocabulary, but if I have to look up every other word, you will not fair well. Keep it simple. I’m looking for originality and that wow factor; this is not an exercise in your ability to stump me with your verbal prowess. What will impress me is if I can tell you did your research.
Rules:
Any genre within reason
Relatively short (as in less than 40 lines)
Free verse preferred but not required
NO FAVORITES- you’ve all proved yourselves already and stolen enough of my points. Thank you very much.
I will open to PWs but the second I start getting poems entered in a gazillion (translation: more than a couple) contests, I will remove this option.
UPDATE: Option removed. I want to see only fresh poetry now.
Points/additional awards to be added.
Will close at my discretion, most likely in a week or so.

Sorry
I know I tend to be biased with favorites. I wanna give everyone else a chance.

Techincal terminology...can that be the technical terminology of any field? For example, can I write metaphorically using the terminology used in journalism?

Absolutely. Go for it

How ironic that I just won this contest. XD
What's even more ironic is that I'm helping put the newspaper together as we speak.
Thank you so much for the gold!
This challenge was so much fun.
