This is for those who have lived with or know some who has Alzheimers. I realized during my last contest that there were indeed many fine pieces about the disorder. So if you entered the contest Do Not Go Gentle you can enter this one. I thought about doing this for the sufferers of Dementia or Alzheimers and the family members. I have had patients with both, it is sad. It is also hard on the families who need support. So I wanted this to be a non anonymous contest but I will judge on the merit of the poem. Use profane language only if it fits the personality of the person, otherwise no bashing of anothers work. No sticky caps, no Internet chat speak. Be respectful of one another as you would want them to be respectful of you. Use any form that you wish.

I've spent many years working with those afflicted with Alzheimers ~ some were such sad folk and others whose antics were nothing short of hilarious!
Regardless, each is a special person beneath the infirmity. Bless e'm all!
Thanks for the HM
