Author of picture: Unknown
It was three years ago - March 20 2005 and I am still here, improving language and writing skills.
I met here many good friends and some lifelong friends and many, many great poets. You know who you are.
This is the right time to say to all of you - thank you.
Many thanks to Arkbear for POY contest and Kevin who gave me a six month free gold membership for my POY wining poem Exordium.
If you do not know me, feel free to read my poetry.
This is my anniversary and I hope you will not dissapoint me.
I will not tell you - gimme your best - each poet strive to write his/her own masterpiece. Each poem is a new chance. Maybe this one will be yours.
No cuttings, nothing dark or you will be DQ without any worning.
All other rules are well known.
Prompt:
To see a World in a Grain of Sand - William Blake
As a prompt you can use a picture from above, only, please, do not descibe it.
or a part of my own verses (A moment )
...
Maybe I wasn’t born a poet
but a poet I will die,
I, woman, lost in her thoughts,
who can see a whole universe
with one single star in the sky,
who can hear a symphony
with one single bird in the orchard,
who can taste a kiss
inside the flesh of an orange
and see art
in the turbulence of pouring wine.
Rhyme or free verse? Let it be your choice. Don't mimic my verses, don't use my words,
be yourself and make it nice.
If you want you may reserve a spot but finish your poem at time.
Good luck.
