The Bliss of Solitude

Hello wonderful poets.

Welcome. The theme/prompt for this contest is: The Bliss of Solitude

I was reading "Daffodils" by William Wordsworth this morning and though I have read this poem over a hundred times, the last stanza spoke loudly of this theme to me.

Let the prompt be your guide to write a beautiful piece.

What is the bliss of solitude to you?
Is there any bliss in solitude?

You tell me.

I will be looking for strong metaphor, personification,
imagery, unique vocabulary, and emotion.

No novels but at least 8 lines would be good.

Let your mind wander within the prompt and move me.

I am looking forward to some very creative pieces.

OK, off you go now.

THE RULES:

1. Please left align unless your poem calls for other formatting.
2. Please no sticky caps.
3. Proper spelling, punctuation and grammar are required and WILL MATTER.
4. No cutting, suicide or self mutilation.
5. No erotica. Tastefully sensual is fine permitting it fits the subject matter.
6. Be creative, step out of the box, and be proud of what you write.
7. HAVE FUN!

Enjoy. I know I will!

Brandon, good to hear from you and even better that you will be submitting an entry. YAY. I look forward to it.

All is well. And you? Been able to get through the winter without the cold and flu bug that put me down for nearly 2 weeks? I hope so.

Good to hear from you and it will be a pleasure to have an entry from you. ~Pamela

Oh you know what else Pamela? I have a prewrite that pertains EXACTLY to this, and it's one that I am SO proud of. It's going to be difficult for me to top something I'm already very proud of, but I will do my best

As always, it was a pleasure to write to your theme. You have a way of causing me to reach
deeper and use more focused vocabulary. I read
a few of the entries and know that this theme sparked some amazing verse so count myself blessed to be among the finalists chosen. Congrats to all.
    With appreciation always, Blue
