No poems about religion—I respect your faith (or lack thereof, if that be the case), but this isn’t what this contest is about;

however, you may use religious metaphors within your poem

I am looking for entries that are tight and creative, metaphoric and original, inspired by the contest prompt

I prefer:  

- left alignment 

- simple backgrounds please, free of any graphics

- free verse

- this contest may be extended beyond the original date, due to traveling schedules       

*

- points may be added, depending on the quality of entries

    Thank you very much for your patience while I was judging the contest. There was such a spectrum of talent displayed in this contest, and this has truly been a classroom experience for me. I have learned much from each of you on how to improve my own writing, and inspired me to get out of my own writing slump--thank you again.
