No, not just a random contest - this is special. But invite only, you'll be sad to know... Or you wont be, if you are invited.
Evil and I were talking earlier on about favourites and the number of people we have on our favourites (I have 50) and then about how many people have us on our favourites. I checked and realised I now have 200 people who have favourited me (is that a word? Oh well if its not).
Anyway, I want to thank every one of these peoples for having me on their favourites so that's what this contest is about. You 200 fabulous people are going to enter a poem.
::Rules::
Only people who have me as a favourite - the contest is not anonymous, so I WILL know.
One entry per person please.
Can be a prewrite/a fresh poem, whichever you prefer.
Has to be below 35 lines (200 poems is a LOT of poems!).
Put poem in the right category, if adult, please label so!
Guidelines/Suggestions ((if you like to know what the judge likes))::
~ I love imagery and metaphor, they really make a poem powerful.
~ I like form poetry if its done well, but equally like freeverse, which is my personal preferred technique of writing.
~ Rhyme is good, but please don't enter it if you can't write it.
~ Dark, Sad, Heartbreak, Abuse, Nature/Beauty and Abstract are all very good categories in my opinion.
~ I like individuality (not the poet, though he is good too) I like people being unique and creative and making the poem their own.
