Hi Brilliant poets!
As you all probably know by now, I have decided to have a contest every week featuring one of the poems that I have bookmarked!
I will display one poem each week and allow the entrants to be inspired by that poem to write your own beautiful poem using your own style. Please do not use lines from the poem or attempt to copy it in any way...It is to be used solely for your inspiration.
There will be no line limit and you may write in any style/form as along as you do it well!
Make use of poetic devices and do what you do best!
I am partial to vivid imagery, clever metaphor, and beautiful alliteration not overdone...
I accept rhyme and form poetry as well as free verse when done well and not forced.
Please use spell check.
Be freely inspired by the poem I have chosen.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO COMMENT ON THE POEM .
I do not want cutting, abuse or extreme profanity which takes over the poem.
Sensual is lovely but hard core erotica is not what I am looking for.
Be nice to me, the featured poet, and everyone in this contest or you will be DQ'd without notice.
no whining, complaining or verbal abuse....It will only get you blocked. If you do not like my judging, do not enter my contest, plain and simple...
Be inspired!
I do love reading your poetry
now, on with the reason that we are here! ...
Here is the 10th poem in my series

I have known Tim for many years now and he is very dear to me. He is a treasured friend to many, a great guy
and unique and talented poet with a wonderful sense of humor that comes shining through in his poetry. I chose one of my personal favorites, so I hope that you are inspired!Mirrored Emotions

A love connection
in his eyes, a lover's reflection.
That’s what it’s all about,
she’s in love, without a doubt.
Hands and eyes… interlocked
how much he loves her, she would be shocked.
Her sensuous fragrance
has him… in a trance.
Not trying to escape,
bed covers all out of shape.
Nibbling on her lower lip,
into heaven, taking a trip.
Upon her neck, a soft kiss,
if he were to miss a spot, he would be remiss.
A caress upon her shoulder, now bare,
whispering “I love you,” does he dare?
Lips upon peaks of pleasure,
overflowing affection, too difficult to measure.
A sweet nibble upon her ear,
upon her face, tears do appear.
Overwhelmed with emotion
visualizing pure devotion.
Relaxed… in the air,
kissing her everywhere.
Moist lips cascade,
whispering a serenade.
In a tight spot,
stealing her heart, he got caught.
A love connection,
in his eyes, a lover's reflection ~

Such a neat idea you have for featuring the different poets and having others write about their poetry. Exposes some other poets to those of us who have been on here a while too. Thanks for doing this.
