Options Contest

Okay. Well I love options contests. So here goes. But first... the rules. (Sorry. Lol)

~NoNe Of ThIs!!!
~DO NOT MOLEST YOUR SHIFT KEY!!! THERE IS SO NEED TO TYPE LIKE THIS! SEE HOW ANNOYING IT IS?!?!?!?!?!
~No Erotica. The options do not call for it! Okay? Okay.
~Put option number, author's name, and "A Beautiful Lie" (Brownie points if you can tell me the name of the band that sings that song.) in your author's notes so I know you read the rules. I will remind you a few times and then I will DQ. Feel free to re-enter though. After you add whatever you were missing.

Preferences
~Rhyme? Sure why not. Don't make it forced though.
~Epics... bring it on. I love them.
~Only a few words? Love it too.
~Free verse? Make it good.
~Prewrites? Only if it fits the option. And yes... I will pay attention to that.
~Freshwrites? I would prefer them. But I will take both fresh and prewrites.

Okay so now that the rules and preferences are over. Let's get to options.

Option One~ Alliteration.
Write a poem using only words that begin with the same letter. For an example see any poem in this contest. (Clicky link!!) http://allpoetry.com/contest/2394221 (You can use words like for, but, of, so, and, or and other linking words.) If this option doesn't make sense just ask me. I will try to explain it better.

Option Two~ Word Bank
Use at least ten of these words. You can put them in any tense or form you like. Major points if you can use them all.

~Alive
~Dragonfly
~Colors
~Music
~Brief
~Autumn/Fall

~Awesomeness!!! (Brownie points for this one... Because it is soooooooooooo my word!!! Hehehe.)
~Eraser
~Pencil
~Ribbon
~Narcotic
~Novel
~Stuff

Option Three~ Pictures
Okay... Find a picture online and be inspired. Either add the pic to the poem or add the link so I can see it too.

Option Four~ Write an ode or write about someone/something you love. So cliches here okay?

Option Five~ Bubbles, rainbows, kitty cats, puppy dogs, Saturdays, faries, raindrops, and flowers.
Self explanitory really. Write about one or more of these things. (What can I say... I love random stuff and all these things make me happy. Brownie points if you can combine them all into one super fantastic poem.)

Option Six~ Planets, stars, blankets, fires, memories, together, space, rings, whispers, night, and raindrops.
Same as option five. Just a different set of words. (Brownie points for the use of all concepts.)

Option Seven~ Emotional Writes
Make me feel what you are feeling. I don't care what emotion it is, just make me feel it.

  • Final notes:
    You guys are horrible... You know that? This was the hardest contest to judge... Granted there were some horribly cliched entires, I had about fifty or so that spoke to me, about twenty that really wowed me, and this this top nine that I just couldn't stop reading. There were several others that after much deliberation, I decided while they were amazing, they weren't quite as good as the other ones...

    Gold~ It was just... Perfect.
    Silver~ It was just so real and amazing
    Bronze~ So short and so impactive
    HM's are in order. (Remember... this is out of one hundered-eighteen poems. So, don't be sad if yours was last. Okay? Thanks.)

    You guys are amazing. And I hope to see quite a few of you when I start up my next contest.

    (I'm thinking of doing a rounds contest. Those are fun. I hope you all stop by!)

    I'M MOLESTING THE SHIFT KEY

    I don't know if this is your first contest, but a little advice: Don't do option contests, or at least, that diverse variety of options. You're going to have to read forever to judge. lol. Anyways, I meant to tell you that I loved that in your rules you said to stop molesting the shift key, that was funny...lol. anyways...that's all I meant to mention. Good luck judging.
