So I thought this would be sorta cool for a contest. I want you to use your allpoetry screen name to make an acrostic. Try to keep some meaning behind it, maybe a poem about who you are. What I don't want to see is some fill in the blank nonsensical write about nothing. It can be happy, sad, funny, or mad. Just try to make a little sense out of it at the same time. Those of you with really long names, well this should be a welcome challenge!!!
The definition of acrostic from wikipedia, "An acrostic (from the late Greek akróstichon, from ákros, "top", and stíchos, "verse") is a poem or other writing in an alphabetic script, in which the first letter, syllable or word of each line, paragraph or other recurring feature in the text spells out another message. A form of constrained writing, an acrostic can be used as a mnemonic device to aide memory retrieval."

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on April 2, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 300, Silver: 75, Bronze: 50, Honorable mention: 10 people
- Final notes: I'm so sorry this took so long to judge. I thought I had finished it once and I guess it didn't save. Of course it took me 3 times as long to try and repeat the results. Really there were a handful of first place poems entered and allpoetry only allows me to give out one gold trophy. The honorable mentions are in no particular order. Plainly, I ran out of time but everyone that entered is a finalist in my opinion. Thankyou so much for being patient with me. This was boatloads of fun. Yowzer!!!!

I don't think this will be very anonymous since we would be using our screen names.
-
AH! I've already done one of these for my screen name and I really like it. but there are no prewrites.
-
I did this awhile ago, too bad you arent accepting pre-writes... good luck =)
