Hello everyone,
It has been ages since I have written poetry or signed in on AP and it’s been eras since I’ve held a contest. So, in this contest I’m going to be having a lot of options .. lots to satisfy my dead muse and my need for good poetry! Please adhere to the rules which will come after the options
Option 1:
Get inspired by ONLY ONE of the following: (that is do not mix them)
1) “Your blood, My blood, Our blood” from the Movie “Practical Magic”
2) “Conquer the skies on a silver Pegasus” by Lamis Ezzat Ali aka Pureangel
3) The sound of the distant drums
4) "Choose your friends wisely while you still can, before it is too late and trouble becomes your fate!" by ME
5) "I thought French was fucked up, apparently I was wrong, it comes in second place; Latin tops the list!" by ME
6) "Peple are pathetic" by ME
7) "People find cursing offensive, I find NOT cursing challenging!" by ME

**Rules**
1) Poems should NOT be less than 14 lines and NOT More than 50 lines.
2) I don’t like forced rhyme, if you want to rhyme bits and pieces fine, but don’t make the rhyming parts look awkward in the poem. (therefore, you can write in rhyme or freeverse, or alternate rhyme and freeverse)
3) You may write a story within your poem but NOT a short story in prose!
4) Write your option number in your author’s notes.
5) No Pre-writes.
6) You are allowed to enter upto 3 times! (you may use the same option but a different sub-option. For example, if you would like to use the titles-option twice, fine, but use different titles)
7) Do Not Mix Options
8) Gold and Silver Members please add a picture/image to your poem if you are using a Facebook-Application-Option
9) Label Correctly (esp. if it is adult)
10) For Facebook-Application-Options, put the result you got from the application in your author’s notes. (if you haven’t added one or more of these applications, you can add them now and write your poem)
11) If you are entering more than once, then PLEASE PLEASE IM ME with the titles of your poems. This is to ensure that no one gets more than one trophy or at least of the major ones (gold, silver, and bronze). If you are using the titles-option then also send the first line of your poem along with the title in your IM!!
12) Re-read option 11!!
**** YOU CAN ENTER MORE THAN ONCE FOR ANY OPTION BUT USING WITHOUT REPEATING ANY SUB-OPTIONS. That is, you can enter the title option upto 3 times but each time using a different title.

- Final notes: I want to thank everyone who entered my contest whether once or more. I am sorry I took so long to judge but I hardly logged on, on AP during my exams which just ended last week.
MANY of you have entered some wonderful poems that I increased the number of Honourable Mentions.
I know you have probably read this before, but for those of you who did not win, this does not mean you are bad writers coz I doubt there is a bad writer. Everyone has a different taste and or a different opinion of things.
