Welcome to Challenge Five of Thirteen.
This will be slightly different from rounds contests - as someone is not guaranteed to be eliminated every round. However I do expect entrants that sign up to stick through to they are eliminated or to the end.
You will have one free pass - this means, one challenge you do not have to participate in and still make it through till the final - it can be used until the final round comes up.
Points will rise through later challenges and like normal rounds contest - this one will have a worthy jackpot for the winner. You will be judged on each round individually.
HMs will depend on entries.
Rules::-
Left Align only.
Plain background.
Check closing date.
Put authors name in comments.
30-50 words.
Column of interest::- http://allpoetry.com/column/show/2340811
Round Five
Alliteration.
I will be focusing on Alliteration this round. I require a poem using alliteration [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alliteration ]. Not only that I want the whole poem in one alliteration, 30-50 words only, you may use joining words that do not follow the alliteration scheme.
Your poem must make sense and you must follow the rules to proceed.
The judging of this will be similar to the proverbs round. Each letter will only have one placing within the Trophy winners. This is to encourage best efforts and being different to stand out not standing out to be different. To explain more easily if three poets use the letter A as their main letter, the top entry out of all three will be placed into the running for winning this round and not the other two.
Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on March 16, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 250, Bronze: 150, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: p.s am commenting after I click end contest.
But the ultimate line up was reflection of not only the best use of alliteration but beauty - style and emotions. Top Four amazed me a lot [would all be Gold or Silver] and Five was stunning.
First of Round five eliminations
Volcaniclastic - failure to enter.

I
alliteration.
'tis my lover.
-
if you want a selection of lifeless forced alliteration..
then yeah good prompt.. -
-
Have you not seen V for Vendetta - as one example. The prompt is not lifeless nor forced - perhaps your example would be. But some people are quite capable of making some more than worth reading.
