This is a simple contest ~

It's Tributes ~

Make a Tribute ~ or submit one you've written ~

The tributes can be a tribute to a day, thing or a person ... pretty much anything that is special to you

You must have a dedication in your Author's Notes ~
The dedication must have who, what or why the poem is written for ~ and why did you choose it.

PLEASE remember

Tributes can be for anything or anyone ~
Any style
and MUST have a dedication to why you choose it.

Points go up depending on the number of entries ~

You can only enter one ~ so choose wisely!

    First of all

    Some tributes for Mothers ~ Fathers ~ Sisters ~ Brothers ~ Friends in real life ~ others friends through the internet ~

    There were tributes to lifestyles and teachers ~ each holding a unique piece of my heart ~

    To my entries:

    IF I HAD 1600 MORE points ~ I WOULD had to AWARDED all of them ~ because you all did such a great job in one way or another!!!

    MY tribute is to YOU ~ THE POET ~

    The poet is the one who looks at a world with words ~ You touch the heart of so many ~ PLEASE know it shouldn't take a contest trophy to know your work is special ~ it's all about how you touch the reader ~ If you affected JUST ONE person ~ then to me you should be proud ~ cause TRULY you ARE a POET!


    To the Gold Winner: You were quick to enter ~ When I first read the piece it touched me ~ Not only poetically ~ but also by the tribute itself ~ it was about a person who devoted their lives to a cause ~ The way you described it ~ makes the piece memorable! This piece stayed with me throughout this contest ~ to me I think any piece that can do that ~ deserves recognition ~

    To the Silver: Word for word ~ your piece is VERY well written and can touch the reader ~ This piece was choosen for more personal reasons on how you affected me.

    To the Bronze: I had to give this to you ~ When I first started this contest ~ I put a preconcieved notion of what I would be reading ~ Your piece made me get "out of the box" thinking. I really started thinking about all the things we can give tributes too... You took a tough subject and stood up ~ Isn't that what tributes are about? Really nice ~ This lesson will stay for a long time!!!

    To my HONORABLE MENTIONS ~ ARE NOT in any particular order of fondness ~ However, they are outstanding ~ and touched me in one way or another ~
