Picture Inspired

Okay. I think this is my first contest.

I am a huge fan of black labs (me=biased cuz I have one named Rodney--he's so cute ) And my boyfriend is at war right now... fighting... eek!

Anyway, I want you to write a poem inspired by this picture. (I was scanning recent contests, and there were a lot of pic inspired ones, so evidentally, people like them)

I'm hoping to get a lot of entries... needing at least three.

Rules...

If you want to dis America or the dog, do it tastefully. You don't need a bunch of cuss words to get your point across.

Oh; I prefer free verse unless you can rhyme really well.

No long poems (30 lines is long) unless you can completely capture my attention. Spaces between stanzas don't count.

Don't make me mad. Go!

    I want to thank each and every one of you for entering my contest. My Rodney loved every entry . I will have to print off every entry when Rob comes home. I couldn't judge this contest at all... so I had a friend tell me which ones she liked. I agreed and off it went. I finally can close the contest thanks again.

    I will have to be back.

    I love all dogs and I have had several black labs. I have one left now who clearly loves his master. This is a great contest.
