To the one you care about

I have writer's block, so maybe if I read your poems I can get out of this.

I want you to write about someone or something you care about, someone or something that makes you happy.

It can be pre-written, but I would prefer it wasn't. And if it is pre-written, I would rather it was written sometime within the last year or so. I won't disqualify you if it isn't, but I know in the back of my mind it might affect my judging.
And only one entry per person.
Also, no poems that have won gold. Save some trophies for the rest of us
Other than that, I don't really have any rules. Just have fun with it.
I'll probably comment on every entry because I think it's only fair. You spend time on my contest, I'll spend time on your poem.
