Rise Today!




This is a very important contest to me, personally.

I found this song called "Rise Today" by Alter Bridge. It's message makes me so disappointed in humanity. Below is verse two, which kills me every time I hear it...



The sun is beating down.
Are we ever gonna change?
Can we stop the blood from running?

Our time is running out.
Hope we find a better way
before we find we're left with nothing.

For every life is taken,
so much love is wasted.



**Here is what I am looking for:

    good contest man! I wish there were more like this! I wish I could enter more than one almost all my poetry is based off the topics of this contest!

    Thank you so much for the Emerald Trophy. Now I am going to go change something about myself. Think I'll get a new hair color. LOL

    Congrats to EVERYONE, and thanks for hosting a contest that is about CHANGE! We are thirsty for it I believe.
