Finding Inspiration

Hey guys, its been a long time since I've been active on AP and I can honestly say I'm ready to get back in the groove of things. I figured a great way to find my muse again is to hold this contest.

This is an options contest, which personally I believe always turns out relatively well.

Rules:
- no erotica
- no cursing (unless tasteful)
- prewrites are allowed (you're welcome)
- write your option # in your notes
- have fun

Here we go.

Option #1
Dirty pretty. I don't want the annoying punctuation, I just want a gorgeous write. If you need an example of what I'm looking for, read my poem "Vestige" or "Butterflies."

Option #2
Word bank! I always love providing this option because every writer interprets the words differently. Note: If you choose this option, the poem obviously needs to be a freshwrite. Please use at least 5 words and write them in your author's note along with the option #.

belated
imagery
myth
epiphany

multipurpose

mute

Option #3
Recreate a memory. We all have bad memories that we still remember. What would it have been like if any small detail had been changed? This is a very broad option so use it to your advantage. Please write the actual memory in your notes along with the option # so that I can determine its validity.

Option #4
My three passions in life include music, art, and writing. Choose any of these three and make it into a poem that expresses how you feel about them, too.

Option #5
Give me a creative poem thats over 40 lines but less than 100.

Option #6
Show me your favorite prewritten poem. It can be about absolutely anything, just make sure it shows your talent as a writer.

Option #7
Some of the most influential poets in history include people such as Edgar Allen Poe, E.E. Cummings, Emily Dickinson, Maya Angelou, Robert Frost, etc. Show me one of your own poems created off the inspiration of any great poet. Please write their name in your author's note along with your option #.

Well, thats it for now. I'm really looking forward to seeing your amazing compositions. Make me proud!

I changed my mind. Just to get more entrants, everyone can now submit more than one poem.
