  • Final notes:
    I guess I need to be more careful of what I ask for, in future contests. I was blown away by the sheer volume of emotion in some of these pieces. Without a doubt, the toughest contest I've ever had to judge.
    The process of elimination was torture, but to prolong the agony is just silly.
    So here goes, gold stayed with me for days on end. I was moved beyond any type of response for days. Silver, same thing. I had such a hard time swallowing aftr I read that, from the big fat lump lodged squarely in my throat.
    Bronze, what can I say about that, except out of all these entries, these were actually tied for gold, and ended up placing in order. man on a mission was just IN YOUR FACE, loaded with attitude, and wonderfully inspiring for a girl just learning to believe in her abilities as a writer..LOVED IT!
    Process of Discovery should get special mention, only because I didn't have enough trophies, and What About Me...wow!
    I cried like a baby, and would like to thank the author for such a wonderfully raw piece.
    Amen, that's it.
