Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To know that for destruction ice Is also great
And would suffice.

Lies of Heart

If forever ended tomorrow,

Upon my heart your memory would rain.
In the fevers of a summer day
Your love would continue to blaze.
As the moon glazes in your eyes
In my mind, your mouth shall never speak lies.
For what my eyes do not see
My heart will never know.
