This little poem was used to teach children the days of the week and to make them aware of which day they were born. I would love to see contributions based on each day centered around this poem. If nothing else you might rediscover the actual forgotten day of the week that you were born. The original goes as follows;
Mondays child is fair of face,
Tuesdays child is full of grace,
Wednesdays child is full of woe,
Thursdays child has far to go,
Fridays child is loving and giving,
Saturdays child works hard for his living,
And the child that is born on the Sabbath day
Is bonny and blithe, and good and gay.

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on February 21, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 500, Silver: 300, Bronze: 200, Honorable mention: 3 people
- Final notes: All of these entries were revolving in and out of first place for days. There was such a variety...sadness and woe, happiness and joy, some free verse, some rhyme, I got the short and long of it all and enjoyed each one so much. I appreciate all the thought that went into each one, they will always be special in my heart as well as hearts of future readers. Thank you all!

I thought that I was full of woe but just now realized I am loving and giving. That makes me feel better!
