This is my fourth contest in the series of "Seven Deadly Sins".
Your task here is to use the picture prompt and
the title of the contest to inspire you.
Sybarite: A person devoted to pleasure and luxury; a voluptuary
What I'm looking for is:
the personification of this particular sin-SLOTH.
Make it come to life along with the prompt color.
Give me a poem, which catches the pure essence
of the sin and the effect of the image prompt.
It would give me great joy to see:
Metaphor,
Personification,
Word Play,
Symbology,
Creativity and Insight at work.
Dark is also appropriate for this theme.
Also-tastefully written Erotica and a sensual touch.
However I do not approve of:
Violence, Sadism,
Self mutilation,
Dirty pretty or Preaching.
All the obvious, expected rules apply-
Don't make me DQ!
I really don't want to!
The line limit start at 10 and ends at 40.
I think that this gives enough freedom
for creativity to utilize your talent.
DO NOT use the theme prompt as your title.
DO give proper CREDIT to the artist
if the image is used in your write:
"Sloth" by Marta Dahlig.
All of the entries will be commented and what is left now is to wish you all Good Luck!

Contest is Over
- Contest was judged on March 7, 2008
- Rewards: Gold: 600, Silver: 500, Bronze: 400, Honorable mention: 2 people
- Final notes: This is the wrap up for the contest and I thank you all for being as patient, bearing with me and my mania to get more entries. I feel we got lots of quality in a spcieal way and each of the writes entered are crafted wonderfully, but the winners have kicked their talent into high gear and presented deep writes that encompass not only the prompt, but also life through the blue mirror of sloth. Me and my co-judge Blue had a blast.
- To judge this contest, you need to have at least as many finalists as you have rewards. You have 4 awards but only 3 finalists.
