Ghost towns, Gunfighters, Train robbers...

this is my first contest folks, so anything goes pretty much as long as it's got some sort of western theme.
that's right, i want:

gunfights, showdowns, ghost towns, hangings, bar fights, bank robberies, poker games, rodeos, saloon girls, wild indians, stagecoaches, bounty hunters, gold mines, cattle brands, john wayne, sheriffs, the civil war, the OK Corral, the james gang etc...

i want it about your life, i want love poems, i want hate poems, song lyrics, free verse, rhymes, i want it all as long as it's in a western setting.

paint a picture in my head.
i love imagery, i love it when a story is being told. drop names of canyons and trails for brownie points.

make it emotional.
it doesn't have to rhyme, but i want something poetic. and i want to feel what you're feeling and what is going on in your story. i wanna feel the cold trigger on my finger, i wanna smell the sagebrush, i wanna hear the roar of the steam engine as it pulls up to the station, i wanna see that beautiful woman step out of the stage coach...

BE INSPIRED:
"it's midnight now in this hole in the ground of a little town..
- and you're crazy boy for staring me down -
because i'm not just another stranger with a gun
checking into this hotel..."

sounds like a great contest, I'll try to get something in for it. Might have to be a prewrite as I'm busy as all hell these days.
