35 Confessions

Title is loosely inspired by:

35 Confessions Buddhas

or Interstate 35

depending on where you sit

or where it is you wish to go

just make it worth reading
inspiring and confessional.

No Bukowski
No Plath

No Sexton

I have their books on my shelf.

I want to read your story.

In other words, write in your own voice.

Contest is Over

  • Contest was judged on February 16, 2008
  • Rewards: Gold: 1000, Silver: 700, Bronze: 500, Honorable mention: 1 people
  • Final notes:
The poems in this contest are fantastic and soul binding. I read many of them more than one time.

If you have a moment to read the top poems, I recommend it, as they touched the core of emotions, as much as they delivered strong visuals in an excellent craft of poetry.

Thank you to everyone for their participation.

    Zayra

    Oh shit,

    this is gonna take awhile.

Lessee, 35 Buddhas, all in a row
negative history, I'm ready to go

Wanting me prostrate, ready to grow,
with 35 names, and weakness to show

    addressing each in turn,
    beginning to glow...

sorry, feeling playfull while I fry my mind waiting for the right idea.
