EMOTIONAL SECRETS
Images, metaphor – a wonderful opportunity to write a poem of emotion.
......................................................
I watched her [him] as she [he] cried silver tears, glistening between the folds of the pillow, drowning every dream that lay waiting there.
I watched her [him] and I thought, “Are these crocodile tears to earn my sympathy, to fool me, or are they sincere?”
I did not know. But, I do know one certainty – our secret was still intact…
Tell me about the tears and the secret.
Give fiction or truth, a mix of feelings and facts in any form, free verse or rhyme. If it is a particular form, please mention this in your author’s notes.
I will attempt to view each poem as it is entered.
I will not be making a final judgment until after the closing date, or number of allowed entries is reached. This allows time for edits.
At this time I will post a final comment on each poem submitted.
Thank you for your entry and best of luck to all poets entered
